These are all bamboo velour. I wanted to do some orange ones, as I normally do purples and blues. I was hoping for a nice orange and yellow blend, but the yellow isn’t as obvious as I’d liked, but it does give a slight colour variation (more than is shown in the pics).

Then I attempted a speckled yellow, orange and green mix… not sure if I like it or not. It does look better in reality. I thought I could back the pads with yellow, orange and lime green PUL (not all at once – some of each type)

And of course my usual blue and purple blend There is actually 2 forms of purple in there, a pinky one (added a touch of red to the violet dye), and a bluish one (added a touch of blue and black to the violet). I also added a little turquoise to my normal blue to make it more vibrant – but when rinsing the dye off it seemed to purplify the blue a little. I did it in one long piece, so its folded over.

I discovered a great place to dye…. wet the bonnet of the car, put cut up garbage bags to cover it (it sticks well to the wet metal), and dye on there!
