I’m sure we’ve all done it…. gone “hmm, I know we’re budgetting and I shouldn’t be shopping online (have more important, yet boring things to spend my money on, like bills and food).. but I just have to buy this little something, and it’s quite cheap so we can afford that…. ohh, and I’ll have to buy that to go with it…. and that too… and that one….”

and then you realise that you’ve bought quite a few little somethings…. and now you are going to have to explain yourself when the packages start rolling in and justify your purchases to hubby

So I’m about to have to have a conversation with hubby that will probably go a little something like this…

Me: Ohh, just letting you know I bought some things online
Him: yes??
Me: well I had to buy a Lego Mace Windu, because he has a purple lightsaber…. and then they were also selling Slave Leia, so I got her…. and Vader – can’t not have Darth Vader!…. and it’s better to save on postage…
Him: Hmmm *brows furrowing*
Me: and then I couldn’t resist Chewy, coz he’s so cute!
Him: *scowls*
Me: umm… and of course I needed my own little mini army of stormtroopers…. so I got a few of those….. and since I have that display rack thing just sitting there, I’m planning to start a display… so I also needed to buy Bobba Fett, because you know I have a bit of a thing for him…
Him: *chokes*
Me: but it’s ok…. I’m having a pad special tonight, so I’m sure that will make up for my spending!

(I can’t not tell him, because I believe in truth and honesty in marriage, and…..more importantly….he’d notice a display rack of starwars figures suddenly appearing on the wall )

So in the interest of marital harmony…. and to justify my new Lego collection to hubby…..I’m having a sale!

Since it’s Talk like a Pirate Day, I’ve made up some piratey pads, and I’m taking a huge 30% off them for tonight until some time tomorrow….

A few more pieces of jewellery

And pads!

These are made for the “Ecology” theme on CPS.  Using as much organic as I could.  I bought some hemp/organic cotton fleece and terry because the hemp I had was a blend with regular cotton and I wanted the organic variety.  There is organic cotton velour, hand dyed organic cotton (using alkanet) and the very cool paisley (PAISLEY!!).

…and colourgrown stripes!  (where the colours come from organic cotton crops selected for their different coloured yields, so they aren’t dyed, it’s just different cottons used to make the stripes!  Very cool!!!

I used the curvier nymph pad pattern I have but overlocked it instead of T&T  Which made it  longer (because no seam allowance)… so these are about 24cm long, which is longer than the 21cm-ish “nymph” length… but not as long as the 26cm-ish “Maiden” pads…. so I toyed with the idea of thinking up a new name for them  (“Maymph”, Nymaiden”? LOL) , and decided to just call them the “Curvy Nymph” which is what I’d been calling that pattern in my head… so that will have to do for now. And then I didn’t know where to put them in my store…. they are bigger than a nymph but smaller than a maiden?!?  So I put them in both categories   If I make more in this shape that are overlocked (I really like that shape better than the standard “nymph”), I might have to come up with a new name for them so it’s not confusing.

And I also made some Sherpa topped pads, but they aren’t exciting enough to show off here…  in Maiden and Goddess lengths… and wingless and g-string pads.

and lastly…some fold up pads which I’d been planning to make for ages but never got around to..

Still to do are the bamboo velour ones…. I’ll work on those over the weekend.

I’ve been busy making some jewellery… still waiting for some components, so there will be more to come.

I will say though that I find it annoying that an adult woman’s mannequin can fit into my 6 year old’s top!  … but anyway, she’s quite ample in the bust department, so she at least fills out the front of the aprons

Also in the post (it’s like Xmas!) was some new jewellery making supplies.  All Pagan-ish stuff, so they will be added after the nappy hunt.

(I’m going to need to buy more of those little goddesses, they are so cute!)

They are headbands (and a piece of bamboo velour).  They will be available next time I stock (this week hopefully)

Just thought I’d show you the prizes Obsidian Star and Cloth Pad Shop have donated for the GDUNH.

The first pic is the prize from Cloth Pad Shop.  It consists of 2 pads – one donated by Sunshine ‘n’ Lollipops and the other by A Little Monkey Business.  1 “Pad Pod” which is a hanging bag to store cloth pads in (eg on the doorknob of the toilet door).  1 pair of breast pads, donated by me.

The second pic is the Obsidian Star prize, which is 2 “Maiden” length (non-waterproof) bamboo velour topped pads,  2 “Mini” length pads/liners and a set of (I think it was 5 or 6) “mint” coloured net reusable produce bags.

I packed them up nicely before sending them off.

Since I don’t take customs…..I’ve got a bit of a list of stuff people want… and I need to make new stock, so I’ll be making some of these things…. so if you want something, comment now and I might add it to the list – or forever hold your peace

Well, it’s been a tad epic… and I suppose most people won’t bother with the extremes, but meh, I’m proud of it
