Store now open again, and some new stuff!
Obsidian Star has reopened tonight after a little break. There are some old faves restocked, like produce bags, lunchwraps and pads. But there are also a few new things, like “hair bobbles” (AKA ponytailers), some new hand dyed headbands (in organic cotton!), and on Friday’s stocking at Murasaki Mama there will be yarn falls.
Here’s a taste of what’s available now at Obsidian Star:
Hair bobbles

(If you want to get some Halloween Black cats or Witch Hats ones for Halloween, get in quick so you get them in time!)
Hand dyed organic cotton headband/headwraps

Lunchwraps & Snack Bags

Pads

Facial Pads (Reusable cotton balls/face washers) & Body wash mitts

Produce bags

You’ll also find some great Christmas gift ideas, so start your Christmas shopping early (not that it’s really that early, yikes, it’s getting close!!)

(Some of these products are available at my Murasaki Mama store, which will reopen again for the stocking on Friday.

Pink Ribbon Donations
Tonight the Pink Ribbon Auctions have gone live. Several of us WAHM’s have got together to donate items that will be auctioned off, so that we can raise money for breast cancer research. I’ve donated a double sided (reversible) apron, in pinky spotty/stripy fabric.
Funnily enough, when I bought the fabric, I thought of the stripy fabric as the main side, and the spots as the back, but I like the spotty side better!

Stringybark 2009
Well Stringybark has finished, and it went quite well. This is our stall
and us infront of the stall
I’m quite obviously the purple one!
hey… they say black is slimming… but I seem to have completely lost my torso to a black hole! haha
We had some very satisfied customers, including one of the roving performers who just had to stop to buy some hairfalls to complete her outfit
So now it’s time to unpack everything and put it back, rearrange my sewing room back to how it was (I had to take my metal shelving out of my sewing room, finding homes for all my fabric and bits and pieces)… but I’ll also be updating my store soon with new stock!
